In Memory of
“England” Dan Seals
Feb. 8, 1948 - March 25, 2009

On March 25, 2009, my former partner and friend of many years, England Dan Seals, passed away after a long two-year struggle with lymphoma.  I have so many tremendous memories of my years with Dan, the tours, the records, the fun times, the difficult times and the many blessings of time spent together.  We got to tour the world together when we weren’t for sure if we’d ever make it out of our native Texas.

For those of you that never got to know Dan, he was a truly gifted musician, singer, saxophone and guitar player.  He had an extremely quick wit and he kept me laughing much of the time.

We first met at W.W. Samuell High School in Dallas, Texas when I was 16 and he was 17.  We began playing in a local band together in the late 1960’s.  I thought I’d share some old photos that I’m sure very few people have seen.  Losing Dan is a great loss for all of us.  He was an inspiration for me and so many others. We’ll miss you.
